White company and Soho Home supplied the bedding so you are guaranteed a comfortable night’s sleep in beautiful linen. Scandi linens in the kitchen and supper soft velvet cushions are from Hooglig and there is a selection at No.2 to purchase and take home. Excellent Wifi and two TV’s help to entertain and catch up. Farrow & Ball and Zoffany paints fill the rooms with beautiful colours. Bold wallpapers and designer furniture complete the look.
The spacious, light and well equipped kitchen has underfloor heating, and the dining room has a wood burner which will make for memorable evenings. The kitchen is kitted out with more wine glasses and crockery than you will need. There’s a Rangermaster oven and cook books on the shelf for inspiration. Our bean to cup coffee machine will help kickstart your morning.
Some of the kitchen equipment includes: Kitchen Aid food processor, micro wave, electric whisk and Nutra Bullet. All chosen with the greatest of care to ensure that you have a relaxed and happy holiday.
The dining room has armchairs facing towards mountain views with a table thats seats 8.
No.2 Braemar has 4 bedrooms which can sleep 2-8, ideal for family gatherings, although cozy enough for couples to. All bedrooms are individually styled with statement wallpapers and fabulously comfortable beds. Even though you are in the heart of the village it is so quiet and relaxing. All 3 bathrooms and the cloakroom downstairs have underfloor heating, so cosy toes after a bath or shower. Beautiful soft white towels warmed from the towel rails are always welcome.
The Lounge is a favourite room with a wood burning stove, super comfortable sofas and chairs, just what you need to cuddle up and relax, watch a film or read a book. Heaven!
There’s also a cosy snug for the kids or a hang out for teenagers, with a large TV to catch up and connect. Or the perfect place to hide away and read the paper.
Both TV’s are Freesat and come with Netflix and Amazon Prime subscriptions. We have excellent WiFi speeds so they’ll be no interruptions when you’re watching your favourite show or film.
Oil central heating, a large water tank and double glazing will ensure your stay is warm and comfortable with two wood burning stoves for extra cosy comfort.
The garden is secure with a private south facing patio, it is a sun trap and positioned at the back of the house with two large outdoor wicker sofas to enjoy the sun. At the front a converted weather observatory built by Prince Albert and gifted to the village at the time, is now a summer house belonging to the property. The coldest temperature in Scotland was recorded here at -27.2! But we do get lovely summer days too it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee and read the paper.
